Title: Neutral light stays on in gear
Post by Thump05 on 06/10/08 at 16:31:41

One day I was sitting at a red light with a police officer in the lane next to me. I looked down at my speedometer and noticed my neutral light was on. I let out the clutch, luckily w/o giving it any gas, and I killed the engine. I was in first gear. After I left the light I noticed the light stayed on in all gears. Anyone else ever have this problem? Where should I start looking for the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. :-?

I can't answer  how to fix it but I can let you know I did see a neutral swtch for sale on ebay in one of the ebay stores.  You may want to look for it and bookmark it in case you need to get one.

Check for any breaks in the wire too - if it is grounded off then the light will be on all the time.
