I have a supertrapp with a stock carb.  Solved the kaboom completely.  Just a snap, crackle and poof.

Lancer's performance carbs are good products but you can greatly reduce the backfiring on your stock LS650 fairly easily by rejetting and tuning your carb.  Take a look at Lancer's Straight & Simple Carb Tuning in the Tech Ref forum.

I have one of LANCERS carbs and it's great, but I'm not convinced that you should get one.

awesome , rides better than without , once you get the hang of it (in 5 minutes ) it is sooooo much fun i made my husband get his own because he was always on my bike, and the dogs just love it as well. a little more power would be good but really not required

Is it easy to put on and take off? I was just wondering if you ever rode without it....just curious.

But,it looks fun!

folders are good, if you want just one pic... view it, right click, properties, copy the address (should end with .jpg)

put this...

between these...

I tried it...lol. It looks like a smaller pic,is it?

Anyway, its the 3rd little image thing to the right at the options, under the subject line.Click on that first ,then insert the address in the middle,.........right?

Well,it worked for me.

so... about the lancer carb, i want to be able to tune without taking it apart and i want my bike to run better and more bettah' power would be nice too, but not necessary.

i'm running stock right now, but one of these days i'm going to get a cherry bomb and a cone filter and i was planning on a jet kit for my carb.

do i need a lancer?

i just installed mine and and as for a first impression, i really like it. i only had to change the pilot jet for a larger one that was included. the throttle response it much better than the stock carb.
