Title: A 650 What? Post by SuziQ on 05/23/08 at 05:33:17 I rode my new 08 home from the dealer yesterday, would love to post a couple of photos but still cannot. Built in January 08. When my insurance company punched in the model/serial number it came up as a LS650D. Anybody know what the "D" is? The dealer doesn't know. I've already got the seat, side covers etc removed to check the battery. When I purchased my VFR in 01 I discoved a sloppy install by the dealer with battery acid laying in the battery compartment. |
Title: Re: A 650 What? Post by YonuhAdisi on 05/23/08 at 09:16:36 Maybe they changed the letter designation to reflect the handlebars style again. a LS650P = pullback, the LS650F = flat, maybe they decided to call the bars drag bars this year hence the LS650D. Just a theory of course. |

Title: Re: A 650 What? Post by Kropatchek on 05/24/08 at 09:52:56 This is what I found in the Suzuki Service Manual: LS650H - '87 model LS650J - '88 model LS650K - '89 model LS650L - '90 model Maybe something to do with the year of manufacture? :D |
Title: Re: A 650 What? Post by Sandy Koocanusa on 05/24/08 at 12:45:02 I think the "D" stands for "Danggoodchoiceofmotorcycle." |
