Title: Recommended manual?
Post by wrenchbender on 05/20/08 at 10:33:56

Looking at Clymer service manuals for an 06 LS650. Before I drop my dime on this book, which is the most suitable manual for this bike?

Over at Amazon they have the 86-04 for considerably less than the 86-03 manual, which has me scratching my head and also wondering if either would be suitable for an 06.

Thanks

Clymers has more overall info on maintenance.   Factory Service manual has some more engine rebuild details but less of the simple stuff since it's written for the dealer tech's to use..

You can check out the Clymers online.  There is a link in the Tech Ref section.

I bought the factory manual, but I'm very mechanically inclined.  I've noticed over the years that much of what I consider common sense is mud to others.   :-?

Someone posted the address of where to get the latest.

But unless you get into some pretty hard to get to spots, they're pretty much all the same.
