Just dropped into the local Suzuki dealer to ask about the cost of a new front brake hose for a 2004. His response: $234.80. I said: No, I didn't want the entire brake assembly just the hose. His response: $234.80, just for the hose. I live in Canada and I'm starting to think that the 'S' tattoed on my forehead doesn't stand for Superman. The Ron Ayers site lists the OEM hose at $63.80. Am I reading this right?

I got a stainless steel hose on fleabay for less than $50 (closeout)

Yep the $63 sounds about right. My dealers website shows $76 but they are usually higher then Ron Ayers. But they ship faster.

I put a stainless on my '87 with the apes.The hose,and both banjos were 50-60 bucks.

They sell those stainless steel brake hoses on ebay by length from 12" up to 54" (priced $18.99 to $39.99). They are listed for "harleys", but would they work on the Savage/S40? What length would ours be?

Had to be looking at the master cylinder price at $234.80 - just another dummy at the counter - d@mn I hate to go to most bike dealers

I was lazy and just had Lancer send a stainless line and banjos - don't know if he's still harp'n those are not

when i go to the stealership i have them turn the screen so i can see it..
