I'm starting to get the notion to try the narrow car tire idea on the back of my Sav. Just as an experiment of course. My riding is not for the most part around town puttering. I'm a get out and run long trips of 4-6 hundred miles a day. My question for those who are doing or have done this is; what type tube do you run in it? Are you running a bike tube in there or the regular car sized to fit tube?

I'm considering the Perrelli line. Any suggestions or leanings towards another brand? Then of course there's the "to radial or not to radial, that is the question" question. And if I go radial do I have to match front and rear like you do with a car? I've got several thousands of miles left on the front tire and only a few thou left on the rear matching Dunlop. I have a feeling getting a suitable match for the front could be tricky when I go outside my species looking for mates.

I'm actually thinking of doing that conversion as well, but it will have to wait until I get the other mods done I am planning.

You got lots of info and history to review, with additional info posted by the second wave guys -- you two will be the third wave, so you know what will be involved and you know that if you go REALLY LARGE the difficulties multiply accordingly.
