Title: Belt lube. What kind? Post by joeh100 on 04/27/08 at 16:31:38 I've loosened the belt as much as I dare. The little belt tension tool pretty much shows no tension. I also did the alignment via string method. It got better, but still squeeks some. What belt lube and where to get it? Hopefully something I can get at Advance or Autozone, or I'll have to go about 50 miles for anything else. Same question for the pulley bearing. I want a good aftermarket one. Can I pick one up at the local auto parts store or would I have to order one? Anyone actually use one they care to recommend? Any suggestions on either would be appreciated. Especially if you have already been down this road. |

Break off a corner & rake it across the blts lumps. Slings off & gets on the wheel some, but sure does quieten the thing down. Ive heard there is a dry spray & that footpowder/talc works well. |
