Post by LANCER on 04/15/08 at 19:28:00

This was posted on the Progressive website.... it's about time, eh ?

While we would love to buy every new bike that hits the market, that just isn't possible. But now you can not only help us out, but be the first on your block to score new Progressive Suspension product - and here is the best part - free! If your bike is on the list of our "most wanted" below, contact us and arrange to drop it off at our R & D department - Progressive Suspension, Inc. 6900 Marlin Circle La Palma, CA 90623
We promise to take good care of your baby - we just need to take measurements and test fit prototype product. Everybody wins!
Check the list below (we will update it regularly) and if your make and model is on it, and you live near our La Palma location, contact Scott Hodgson at shodgson@progressivesuspension.com to get the process started. And thanks for your help!

Now that's what I call customer service! I only sent them an e-mail last week about PS shocks for the S40 and we're already on the development list. Now all we have to do is get a large number of Savage owners to e-mail them about obtaining a set and maybe we can move our priority designation fom a 'd' to an 'a'.

I also sent an e-mail to Corbin about a gunfighter style seat for the Savage, no reply as yet, but I do that every couple of months. A factory rep. at Daytona once told me that they would consider any bike as long as there appeared to be a demand.

So who we got living in Socal?

Sent a letter off to them to see if they would concider my old '96.

I think Paladin's bike is even older.

I'm here, but they specify an '05-'07 S40, I have an "Oh-oh!"

'Sides, if they would take me they'll take Verslagen -- and he is more interested in performance.   My cousin's requirement was "Four wheels, runs, keeps the rain off.  That last is optional."  I not even that picky --  I'm happy as long as it "beats walking."

Let's see, two plus days to trailer down, a couple of days for the fork work, some time to test the suspension on the Angeles Crest, Mulholland and Glendora Canyon, then two and a half days to trailer back.

Tempting, but I just can't miss over a week of work right now!

(I am sorry but I do not see a app for a 07 S40 in our apps chart. What is the modal of the VS or VL ? )
This is the response I recieved from Progressve when I e-mailed them regarding  412-4232C   or  4233C on the S40 even though I told them quote (It's a '07 Suzuki Boulevard S 40 also previously known as Savage or LS 650. Suzuki has build this 650 Single since '86)unquote.
So maybe they are waking up and realize that there might be a market out there that's untapped (ignored) ;)

Did anyone on the forum ever take advantage of the PS offer?
