Title: LS400 1989 - exhaust Post by redsox on 04/12/08 at 22:37:36 I have an older Savage - LS400 1989. Should this have a gasket at the manifold? I have just taken the exhaust right off the bike and there is nothing at manifold and no sign of anything???? Can anyone help? [smiley=undecided.gif]

Its gonna be a wrinkled up, aluminum colored donut, goes in the head, then the header pipe goes in & crushes it into the gap between head & header pipe. If there is nothing in there, its spitting fire  like a AA fueler & backfiring like a gatling gun.
