Title: Big crank battery question Post by bennyc on 04/11/08 at 07:31:27 I am looking to replace the original battery in my 2007 savage with a Big Crank. The big crank website only cross-references up to a 2002 LS650. Does anyone know if that model (ETX15L) would be suitable for a 2007 ALso, what mods (if any) need to be made to make it fit? Thanks |

Title: Re: Big crank battery question Post by Paladin. on 04/11/08 at 10:01:32 Ditto. Just flatten one side of each connector with a pair of pliers and shove it in. Out of the box to a running bike in about a minute. The '07 is the same as the '86 as far as the battery goes. |

Title: Re: Big crank battery question Post by bennyc on 04/14/08 at 09:27:05 1. last questions regarding the big crank- 1.) Does a battery tender attach to the terminals in the same way as on the orginal battery? I am talking about the leads you leave on permanently, not the aligator clips. (I am concerned since the terminals on the big crank are so large.) Thanks again. |
Title: Re: Big crank battery question Post by Reelthing on 04/14/08 at 10:43:50 If they're the ring connectors - shouldn't be any problem - doubt that one need to use such a thing - the self discharge rate is very low on a AGM battery - might get a little low if you didn't use it for 6 months - normal flooded cell battery is close 10% per month at least - these are more 1 or 2% |
