After the Four hour oil change and motor warm up, I added a couple of ounces of Seafoam to the tank and my wife and I saddled up for a ride in a surprising warm Minnesota afternoon!

10 miles out on the main street of a small town, I decided to adjust the right side mirror. Run the speed to 35 mph, pulled in the clutch and adjusted the mirror with the throttle hand.

Mirror, adjusted and still rolling, I let the clutch out . . . tire screech, clutch in and out apply throttle, tire screech and dead on the side of the road. Murphy was still with me!

Rolled the bike 20 yard into an empty parking lot. Engine turned over but no start . . . smelled gas, flooded?

I commented to my wife that she was right to have road side assistance added to the insurance policy! As I've mentioned before, It sure is nice to have her around!

After about 10 minutes of troubleshooting, the engine finally stumbled to a rough start. I adjusted the idle speed up and life was good for the moment.

Bee lined home, but on the way, I tried to recreate the stalling, but it did not reoccur. Any ideas? I don't really want to drop any more $$ at a dealer.

Back home, I check for oil leaks . . . none. But the oil filled the sight glass when level . . . I only put in 2.5 quarts. Is there a trick to draining all the old oil?

happened to me...probably just low idle speed.

a straw and someone you don't really care for to suck out the oil..

or just drain it to a clean receptical then refill to proper level.

But it only takes 2.1 quarts. You are almost a pint over full.

The idle tends to drop below idle after a run at speed. If it's set to low, it may stall out. Quite common. And I've found a little higher idle makes starting off from a stop easier.

Go get some transparent fuel line at an auto store. Leave it long, suck it up till it reaches your nose, pinch or place finger on top, pull out hose, drain into old oil can.

I was dreading the possibility of $$ and time for a carb cleaning.
