Well i joined this site awhile back but never posted, just searched around. I gotta say you guys are the best and very informative with your posting, thanks.
If it wasn't for you guys my engine would probably be shot by now. I haven't measured it but just from the looks of it, its worn, plus real noisy. At first i thought the noise was the valves but i readjusted them and no change so today i pulled the side cover and yup, found the problem, i hope, lol.

Oops forgot to add that she's a 1987 with 25,817 miles. I bought her last year, my first bike :). I've only had the chance to ride about 250 miles so far but hoping for many more. Thanks.

we got the parts to fix ya up.. vers.. chain adjuster.. maybe somebody's got a spare lancers chain.

I'll tell you right now, somebodies been in there. That's not a stock retaining ring on the adjuster. check out the marketplace.
