Post by demin on 03/25/08 at 18:38:56 If you have a bike jack.Put the bike in the air,take off front wheel,loosen bolts on t/s clamps, take off caps on top of forks,and loosen the pinch bolt on the backside of the bottom tree,and slide forks down.Slide the clamps off. |

It did take a whole lot of leverage but the broke in half and didn't damage anything. Plus it saved a whole lot of time. By the way I am only 5'00" and about 145lbs and a woman so it can't be that hard! ;) |

It's not hard to drop the forks and slip them off. I did it when I put my fork boots on. And then put them back on. And while you got them off, install some fork boots (gaiters) on. 8-) |
