Title: Searching for Tank Bibs
Post by Savage Chick on 03/18/08 at 02:04:12

I was doing a search for tank bibs on ebay, and several other online sources...
I'm not that fancy a gal, so I don't need it to be fancy. I'd like it to have nice sized pockets though. Anyway...I found this one...
http://www.motoleather.com/tank-pads-leather-embroidered-savage.html
The site says it's for a VS650...but it says SAVAGE on it. Would it actually fit my LS650?? :-/
It costs too much for me at this moment...just thought it wouldn't hurt to do some research. :-?

If anyone has a better place to look for tank bibs, I'd REALLY appreciate it. Right now, I don't have saddlebags, I took off the fork bag because dad is of the mind set that they deflect too much air from the engine...so I have NO storage what so ever on the bike.  :-[

Thanks for any help on this! This is a wonderful site. Just hope no one gets tired of me pestering ya'll!! :-X

Oh, and I found the ones at Timberwolf Leather. Nice bibs...I'd just like more options then 2 stores.

I bought one from J.C. Whitney and I am very happy with it.  Good quality leather that is nicely finished.  In my opinion the black leather bib looks great with my bike's white tank and fenders.

I don't know of a VS650, I know there is an SV650, but that tank bib definately wouldn't fit that bike. So, I think it was a typo because that tank bib sure looks like it will fit the LS650.

Until you get your other storage, you could always find a creative "dad approved" location to strap the fork bag to, possibly the handle bars or backrest.

I don't have a back rest, and I think the bag will look silly hanging from the handlebars...but I might have to check that out.

I did a search on the site for tank bibs, but I didn't find anything about Savage Wahine making any....gonna have to PM her.
Thanks!!

Checkout J.C. Whitney, they got a cool tank bib with an eagle on it.
