anything that bolts to a 1" diam pipe will fit the suzuki or wingerline highway bar

I did the same thing.  I got the factory engine guard and then a set of Kuyrakyn 4" offset clamp on pegs.  With the offset, I can extend the reach and really get comfortable.

It's about $300.00 for the pegs and the engine guard.

Should you not want to go the crash bar route, there is a listing on ebay for a highway bar w/pegs here:

That bar is exactly like the one I have except I have O-ring pegs on it. The previous owner clamped it just like that to the downtube, but it will bend around the pipe if too tight, plus it's a little unstable. I cut out a small block of 2" thick heavy duty nylon/plastic with a 2" door hole for the downtube to mount to. Fits great and much more stable, and also allowed me to extend the bar further out from the downtube. Sorry no pics as yet.

Speaking of pegs and engine guards, here is a brand new case guard on ebay for a buy-it-now price of $85.00.
