Title: tire for bobber? Post by zipidachimp on 02/24/08 at 01:50:53 anyone know what is the fattest front tire this bike will take? I'd like fat rubber at both ends of my bobber. :P |
Title: Re: tire for bobber? Post by PerrydaSavage on 02/24/08 at 02:38:53 Swap out the front end for one off of a VZ800 Marauder ... that'd give you beefier front forks AND tire! 8-) |

Title: Re: tire for bobber? Post by thump on 02/26/08 at 18:53:59 hey demin what type of tank is that on your bike? Did you have to cut the frame to make it fit? I really want to put a peanut style tank on my savage but it dose not seem like any would fit without cutting the frame. |

Post by demin on 02/27/08 at 13:46:08 The only thing I cut were the studs sticking out to mount the original tank, but I wanted the sportster tank to go over the frame a little.I went to the hardware store, and bought a connector nut(it's a nut about 2" long) welded it on for the front mount.Chopped the rear mount off the old original and welded it to the new tank. |
