Title: Seized Mixture screw
Post by Jimworx on 01/28/08 at 08:13:02

Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove a seized mixture screw on the carb? The previous owner stripped the head of the screw and it appears to be seized in there. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jim

Take a look at the Jardine muffler re-jet thread just below here - the answer's in there.

Always, always use anti-seize on anything that doesn't have to be thread locked. Its cheap and will save you a ton of headaches.

If you dont have a Dremel clone, now would be a good time. Big Lots hooked me up with one I am pretty danged satisfied with, tho one of the bushings was drilled off center & the tool wobbles, but it has worked flawlessly & that one bushing is not needed often. Cost about $40.00, maybe Hobby Lobby or some hobby store, model airplane shop. Then you can reach in there & put a good groove in the screw head. Squirt some good slick stuff in there.
