Title: Clymer's Mistakes?
Post by eanon on 01/24/08 at 14:11:56

I got my brand spankin' new copy of the clymer ls650 manual today.   :D   But I know there are a few errors hidden in there.  Bad news for an amateur mechanic like me.  Beside setting tdc, (rotating the enigine counter-clockwise, not clockswise, when looking from left side of the bike ) does anybody know of any other mistakes clymer made?  Thanks for the info.

Check the tech. section.I think Greg or one of those guys has a whole list of mistakes posted.

Thanks.  I looked there first, but must have missed it.  Got it now.  Are  there any updates to that list?

Yup.  I'm more mechanically minded myself.  Just another reason I love the savage.  so easy to work on (and I'm just getting into the engine!).  I'm not a mechanic, I just like taking things apart!

Taking things apart is the easy part, it's putting them back together properly where folks get in trouble.  ;) ;)
