Title: Ddiscoloring Pipe Post by CY8-KID on 12/22/07 at 13:34:40 I tried a search, but nothing came up to satisfy my question.... Why does the exhaust pipe discolor, bule/gold? :-? |
Title: Re: Ddiscoloring Pipe Post by J Mac on 12/22/07 at 14:05:59 Never heard of it! :D Joking . . . It apparently has to do with the stock lean mixture settings. Make sure you change the drop-down in the search panel to include all posts. It comes up as "one week" by default. Anyway, here is one of many threads on your question: http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1193800618/0#0 |

Title: Re: Ddiscoloring Pipe Post by justin_o_guy2 on 12/22/07 at 18:39:06 Mine didn't blue till I was listening to the valves, running it up & letting off several times. I guess I got about 2,500 miles on it before I blued it. |
Title: Re: Ddiscoloring Pipe Post by T Mack 1 on 12/22/07 at 20:09:03 The dis-coloring of the pipe is a temp thing. Hot cause color change. Lean is hot. Have you done any carb tuning on the bike? |
