Hey guys,

I ordered a tachometer off ebay and am unsure about how to mount it because it did not come with instructions. The ratio is 2:1. There are two wires coming out of the back: red and black. Do I just connect the red to the spark plug wire and the black to the frame?

Not unless it's an induction tach like the tinytach - other wise you need to hookup at the coil - you have a ebay# ?

h3ll that looks like a cable driven tach with the red and black just power wires for the light -

if it's a cable driven you can not use it on the savage - you need an electronic tach - either induction like those used on a lawn mower - not my favorite - or one that fires off the coil triggers like the barrons - let me see if i can find it in a post round here
