when I try to start my bike 88 suzuki savage it will not do anything when I push start button but after 5-10 minutes of pushing it will finally start just want to know starting point if its the starter or the switch might be bad     thanks

Starters don't go bad as often as switches.  I'd lay odds on one of the interlock switches.

You're mashing down that button for 5 to 10 minutes?

There's an optimist.

Is the starter hot after that?  If not, then it's the switch.

If it is, then somethings holding it back.

Decompression solenoid kicking in?  I'd check the adjustment anyway.
