Title: Sportster pipe inside stock pipe? Post by joeh100 on 12/11/07 at 06:46:07 How feasable would this be? It looks like it would fit to me. I know the back end could be welded but I'm not sure how the front would attatch. |

Post by Max_Morley on 12/11/07 at 10:11:44 Why would you want to make the exhaust pipe any smaller?, or are we confused in that you want to put the stock pipe in a sportster muffler? If it is the later, check the tech section as there is lots of information on how to do that mod there. Max |
Title: Re: Sportster pipe inside stock pipe? Post by joeh100 on 12/11/07 at 14:16:56 I mean gut the stock muffler and basically use it as a heat shield. Install a sportster muffler inside of it. That way you still keep the stock look. |

Title: Re: Sportster pipe inside stock pipe? Post by T-Mack1 on 12/11/07 at 19:35:10 If you are going to carefully disassemble the OEM muffler, please take pictures and details. I have an aftermarket Dyna muffler, but there are rumors that the State (PA) is thinking about including mufflers in the yearly safety inspection. Factory approved mufflers.......and since Suzuki doen't have a performance line for the Savages/S40's........a gutted OEM may be the way to go. |
