Title: How do I get rubber carb gasket off?
Post by DocNeedles on 11/24/07 at 15:22:29

Well, I have got the parts installed on my right crankcase and have the bolts snugged down.  (Thanks for all of your help).
I have taken my old carb off and found the rubber gasket bolts going from the carb into the cylinder head are extremely tight and almost impossible to be able to torque a screwdriver in order to take out old gasket and replace with the new Mikuni carb gasket.  I figure I can either cut the gasket out in order to get a purchase with vise grips or borrow a friends impact bolt remover that you hammer and it breaks the connection and I will be able to unscrew the bolt.
Fortunately the new bolts are hex bolts and should be a lot easier.
Any other suggestions on this latest difficulty?

Yep, impact screwdriver.  Got mine at AutoZone.
