Title: bolt covers Post by eanon on 11/11/07 at 12:20:46 So when the previous owner laid her down, it looks like the force of the impact rotated the handlebars a little. I only noticed because I can't seem to get the right side mirror properly adjusted, and the brake handle assembly was rotated back toward the rider a little. I had to take the two covers off of the bolts holding the brake handle assembly to get it back into place, and just destroyed them. Does anybody know of a good way to get those darn bolt covers off without destroying them? By bolt covers, I mean those little silver, plastic caps that suzuki puts in the top of the hole the bolt goes in to keep out water and clean up the look a little. I need to loosen up the 4 bolts holding the handlebars in place so I can put them back where I want them, but those bleeping covers are in the way. I know I can get them out by breaking them, but there has got to be a better way. |
