I'm selling a backrest,see marketplace, and had someone ask if the fender holes are the same on a 96 as my 05.I think they are but I thought I'd ask, anyone know? Thanks!

I would say yes I installed a backrest on my 06 just took side rails off and put ones with the back rest support on The parts came from a 87 or there abouts.

When you get the backrest from Suzuki the struts or thinner than the one that come on the bike. Mine is 06.

suzuki stopped the backrest as a standard item(year?)
when you buy it as an option(i did for my 06) you need the thicker side rails to accept the backrest support bars, the bolts are longer with the new rails...
