hey guys, my bike has been down for a while, it needs a new cam chain, it has been in the shop going on 6 weeks now... i am becoming very frustated with the guys working on it. they tell me that the cam chain is on backorder from oem. i suppose i have to believe them. does anyone know of another supplier that i can overnight a chain from? i ride an 87, if that makes a difference.. thanks

Go to the Official Suzuki Dealer Locator. (http://www.suzukicycles.com/DealerLocator/)

1. Call closest to you, ask if they have the cam chain in stock.

2. If "no" then call the next closest. Repeat until you find one.

3. Have them ship you the cam chain. If they refuse, see if there is anyone on this site near to that dealer willing to take your money via PayPal and go get it and send it to you.

Do you think maybe Suzuki may be finding there is a cam chain quality problem? if they are on national back order, then they did not anticipate the orders from the dealers. Sure wish a Suzuki QC person was lurking and watching the discussions on this site. Max

Gregg D ordered one from ron ayers for me and it took a week. Maybe he would sell you mine as i have no need for it as yet. 32,000 on the origianl and still only 19 mm out. I can get one later this winter. might be able to get it from Gregg in a day or so
