I got a new battery for my 86 Savage well to make it short my buddy decided that he would change it for me while i was at work. I came home to the negative side cable end having the cables broken out of it....the bike will roll over it just wont fire....what is the small wire attached to the negative battery cable end???

if the small wire is black/white tracer its the neg/common wire for the whole harness..the larger goes to the frame..

Thanks I appreciate it, i am going to start with the normal routine stuff like the spark plug and see where I get.

Aaaaa.....you didn't say that you re-connected the thick negative wire.......Hope you did because it's needed to handle the current.
