i think i will use klotz 20 50 oil in my new s40 i didnt  no theres this must trouble with the engine the klotz leaves a film coating on parts so there want me dry starts its about 12 dollars a quart but  i guess it will be worth it

Just be careful about using such an oil because of the wet clutch on the Savage/S40. It may/could cause clutch slippage because of not enough friction.

I'm not a motorcycle tech but I work with car techs and with cars it is important not to get too far away from the tech specs because of the tolerences designed into the engine and tranny.

klotz makes 2 oils one for harley and one for wet clutches so im ok

Haven't heard that name in many years = 40, , had a friend who used their 2 cycle oil in his Bultaco's for trials riding and claimed it stopped plug fouling. Max

I used klotz iis snowmobiles  in 1972 it didnt foul the plugs the first snowmobiles always fouled plugs till they went to cd electrics
