Title: mirror extenders Post by BOWDIER on 08/22/07 at 19:13:56 thinking about putting some mirror extendors on about 2 inches, has any one tried any, how did it work, and were did you get them. thanks |
Title: Re: mirror extenders Post by ErminM on 08/23/07 at 07:15:25 I did that, I could not adjust mirrors to take my shoulders out and visibility was bad. Since I put extenders I can see behind all the way around. Best 25$ ever spent... I got them here http://www.koubalink.com/mirror.html Cheers! |
Title: Re: mirror extenders Post by DanGill on 08/23/07 at 07:25:16 Those look better than the ones I bought from JC Whitney. The Whitney ones were shorter. They help, but not that much. |
Title: Re: mirror extenders Post by Savage_Rob on 08/23/07 at 09:45:18 I just used wider handlebars. |
Title: Re: mirror extenders Post by BOWDIER on 08/23/07 at 12:27:34 thanks ErminM--I'm 6'2 so I think I can see a lot better once they are up higher, thanks for the link. |
Title: Re: mirror extenders Post by PhotoProf on 08/23/07 at 17:50:34 I agree with ErminM... the extenders work well, are less expensive than new mirrors and allow you to return to stock if you do change handlebars. I dinked around ordering/returning mirrors that didn't work or were poor quality. There just doesn't seem to be a large selection of mirrors that will extend far enough to give an adequate view... especially if you have on a padded riding jacket. |
Title: Re: mirror extenders Post by ErminM on 08/24/07 at 06:45:02 I am 6'2 as well so you should have comparable results. I had to get extenders because half the mirror was my shoulder and I am not widest guy around. |
Title: Re: mirror extenders Post by BOWDIER on 08/24/07 at 13:17:56 No what you mean, I'm only like 175 on a good day after lunch. |
