Title: Brake Pads - Front
Post by rokrover on 08/11/07 at 16:50:50

Yeah, old topic I'm sure but what gives- my wife's front pads are shot at 3.000 mi!  Dealer wants $40 for a new OEM pair.  This is ridiculous - now I understand why there's so much brake dust on the front end, the Suzuki pads wear like crazy.  Usually best practice is to match new pads to a new (refinished) rotor surface but I'm not going to have that flimsy Suzuki rotor turned down.  I guess we al have to live with this weak design.  Heck, my Ducatis had cast iron Brembo rotors that would last forever with stock pads.  Any suggestions?

EBC pads are better than oem & dont cost $40.00. No need to turn that rotor. Cant afford to lose the meat.

Thanks for the ceramic pads link - I'll give them a try.
