How do they feel?  They look nice.

Very good.  Feels more like a standard or flat tracker.  Originally had the pullbacks and they were terrible, especially over 60mph.  I also have the seat lift mod 2" and 12.5" shocks, so it pretty much is a flat tracker now.  I paid $20 used.

A buddy of mine has a set of Sportster bars (look 'zactly like those Dynas) on his wife's '87 LS ... I've Ridden it and that Bike is more comfortable and steers way better than my '03 with the OEM buck-horn bars ...

Hello Everyone,

I have used the Suzuki M50 handlebars and they are a direct swap without changing any of the cables or wiring.  I have also used the HD FX 1971 bars and Flanders Aught (sp) bars which are 34" wide.  I have used these on my 1988 and 1996 LS650 bikes.

Both are approximately R 4" PB 4 Ctr Width 8" Tip to Tip 28-30"

I have also bought a speedo cable extension 14" from Barnett, price $15 and mounted a mini speedo with tripometer.

Sportster bars on my old 87. Looked great and felt really good. Better riding position and better control. The grips and ends are from an Intruder.

ehhhhh, iv never had a problem with the pull back bars. there is a guy in the market place (i belive he lives in ohio or montana) selling a tricked out savage for 2500 and it has great lightning bolt looking bars from harley. thoughs are the only ones iv thought about. very custom.

Tipped my bars front a little.  It puts your hands a little more in line with the triple tree.

As though 6-7 sets of bars weren't enough between the 2 Savages, I have a set of Softail Custom bars on the way. slightly taller than Sportster bars, for a bit more tank clearance with the bars tilted back, but the same basic shape (The risers are Harley only, and will go back to eBay, unless someone reading this has use for them on their Harley, and will give me $10 + shipping for them):

Can't wait to try them on the old 87 with the short risers!

And another little "old school" toy I couldn't resist:

I used to love the old glass bowl filters on pre-50s cars. See some gunk in the fuel? Just drop the bowl and pour it out; blow the screen clean; screw the bowl back on, and you're back in business!

Did this with my OEM buck-horns too ... made a WORLD of difference in comfort level, rideability and really improved my cornering by straightening my arms allowing for more leverage! ;D
