Title: How do you re tighten the rear brake pedal spring
Post by srinath on 07/30/07 at 20:31:34

Yes pretty much. My return spring on the foot pedal is lying loose. I am hoping I can add 1 turn of preload to it, cos I believe its gotten released somehow. How do I add 1 extra turn of preload to it. Thanks.
Cool.
Srinath.

Are you talking about the spring at the drum on the back wheel?  There is, or should be, an adjuster nut at the end of the rod, right behind the spring.  Turn it clockwise.  If there's no nut there, it fell of and must be replaced.
Or,  I may be not understanding the problem.
I just noticed 8 other people read the post, and no one replied.  We do try to help here.  If I'm getting it wrong, please try restating the problem differently.

If it's the one on the pedal, maybe you released it when you took off that plate?  It gets hooked around the posts somehow.  Maybe greg can shoot you a picture.   ;D
