my main pilot jet does not have a washer under it. do i need it?

i noticed my other bike DID have the wahser there.

Or under the starter if it dropped while working with the carb in place.

Cr@p! I am about 99% sure that i am missing the washer.

Wondering if that is why my bike runs like crap.

Is it one washer or two washers that i need? And anyone know if i can get it at HomeDepot or do i need a specific copper type.

And also anyone know what size it or they are?

Crotchrocket.com (http://www.crotchrocket.com/fiche_section_detail.asp) is usually cheaper but not always. In this case, it's not a lot of difference. They show $1.27/each for that washer while RonAyers shows $1.29/each.

Whenever I find I need some little thing like that I always order 4 or 5 of the little suckers, because sure enough when I go back to work on it I will drop another one along the way.

Same here, along with any filters, gaskets, etc. I anticipate needing anytime in the near future. It helps justify the shipping cost in my mind.
