Title: 2007 Sportster seat
Post by prefect on 07/17/07 at 09:43:03

Hey everyone,

My fiancee has an 87 savage that she bought as her first bike.  She loves it, but it needs a new seat.  There was a tear across the middle of the seat, and the PO tried to fix it with black duct tape.  It worked fine in the cooler months, but as soon as the temp hit the 80 mark here in Philly, the glue melted and it just made a sticky mess.

I just bought a 2007 H-D Sportster XL1200R, and I switched the seat.  I was wondering if there would be a lot of fabrication involved in mounting my stock sportster seat to my fiancee's 87 savage.  I've read that certain sportster seats fit without too much problem.

Thanks,

-charles

Do a search for Sportster seats and you will find several ways that people have done it. All basically the same. Should work great and she will love it!!
