Post by dr_laxative on 06/11/07 at 09:50:53 I left this morning for work, got all the way to the end of the block with no problems when all of sudden my engine dies. The engine only dies when I start letting go of the clutch and I start twisting the throttle. When I start the engine I can twist the throttle once or twice but right after that it just dies when I turn it. I've tried to see if it was the side stand sensor but I ruled that out by turning the engine on in neutral with the stand down and up and in first gear with the stand is up and it turns on every time. Any ideas as to what this could be? |

It would last about 5 or 10 minutes then just cut out & it might take 10 minutes before the starter would even engage. Yours starts right back up or what? |

You can just pop the connector & jam a piece of paper clip in there to see if thats gonna get it. If so, do whatevr you like, make it permanent. |

IF you can play with the clutch & crank the gas on & off in neutral then its gotta be a safety switch. I bypassed the kickstand switch even tho I couldnt prove it was bad. It still has shafetd me a few times since, but it changed the hassle factor by a ton. My clutch isnt bypassed. |
