I've searched the forum archives and nothing turned up.

I see a VL1500 (C90) stock front seat for sale on eBay, and I'm wondering if it might fit my '05 S40.

I'm really liking the looks of a Savage/S40 without a pillion seat, and I'm thinking of buying this seat. It looks like it could work, with just a little modification of the metal brace, which looks bendable.

Has anyone here tried to put this seat on a Savage/S40?

Do you realise howe big that seat is, go and have a look at a LC 1500 and then emagine it on a Savage, dont think it would look good.
I have both a Savage and a LC.

No, I had not thought about how big the 1500 seat is.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I just spied the auction this morning, and it ends tonight.

If I wanted to buy it, I had to find out about it fast.

Which I have.

I won't place a bid. I'll wait for a solo seat from an older model Savage to go up for sale

When I bought my sportster seat, a fellow at work gave me his sportster solo seat takeoff. I bet if you want a solo seat that would work too.

also on the crc site is a small solo springer seat cheap!
