Does anypne know the torque specs for the savage?

Clymer does not show them!

nor do they show the cyl head assembly to the cylinder

From what I have read the suzuki service manual is no better.

Anyway, I am putting my engine back together with new piston and rings.

Whatever tips you have send em over

I have a Clymer manual for 1986 thru 2003 Savage. On page 147, Table 2, Torque specs are given. It shows the following for cyl head:

8 mm cyl head nuts---16.5 - 19.5 Ft-lbs
9 mm cyl head nuts---21 - 24 ft-lbs
Cylinder base nuts----6 - 8.5 ft-lbs
