Title: Re: Saddle Bags Post by Holodeck on 05/21/07 at 13:37:12 I have a Cortech fabric bag on mine. I think they cost me about $120. They hold 1/2 a case + on each side and velcro up into a carry bag. I use the bike for shoping and running around picking up small stuff. Might be too small for you but works good for me. http://w2.bikepics.com/pics/2007/05/06/bikepics-889773-800.jpg |
Title: Re: Saddle Bags Post by Savage Librarian on 05/21/07 at 15:08:32 I used a few different leather bags on mine, but I think my favorite so far were cordura, and cost me $25 from JCWhitney. Link (http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2002390/c-10111/Nty-1/p-2002390/Ntx-mode+matchallpartial/N-10111/tf-Browse/s-10101/Ntk-AllTextSearchGroup?Ntt=nylon+saddlebags) They were cheap, they carried a lot more stuff than I thought they would, and they handled the weather better than the leather ones ever did (although if you carry anything in them while it's raining, it WILL get wet if you don't bag it). I've seriously considered getting another set to replace the ones I sold to put on the leather ones. |

Title: Re: Saddle Bags Post by smokey02 on 05/21/07 at 21:05:53 I use a glove bag, I turned it around to sit on the pillion, holds enough for me. It has a waterproof cover, made by T-Bags. http://www.tbags.com/detail.aspx?ID=19&SelectedCat=2 http://w1.bikepics.com/pics/2006%5C08%5C06%5Cbikepics-649438-full.jpg |
Title: Re: Saddle Bags Post by Rogue_Cheddar on 05/22/07 at 17:47:13 I just picked up some studded saddlebags from River Road. These bags are about a little under 14 inches wide. They say it's not real leather, but I'll be darned if they don't look real. Each bag has a pocket on one end. These are square and just fit. They have some slant bag models too. I like them, they have a nice shape and don't look like they will sag anytime soon.and they have quick snap latches and also zip off. I only paid $95 at my local stealership. Definitely good bags for the money. The model I got was the 10-7735. |
