Title: Jardine muffler quality Post by Scottwerty on 05/15/07 at 15:54:08 Hey all, Got a brand spankin new jardine slashcut about a month ago and I love the sound looks etc. But what has me alittle P-Oed is the build quality of the pipe. I've recently been getting a rattle that had kinda bothered me. low and behold i isolated it and it was the baffle insid the muff. >:( now I know its only being held in there by 2 rivets but come on it should not rattle after a month. Has any one else had this problem? -Scott |

Title: Re: Jardine muffler quality Post by PA KID on 05/16/07 at 13:21:16 I've had mine on a couple years an it has a rattle also. |
Title: Re: Jardine muffler quality Post by Reelthing on 05/16/07 at 13:44:44 Hummm, I don't have a rattle in the newer Jardine (yet) but it sure doesn't have the deep sound like the old one - maybe some cheap is going into the product |
Title: Re: Jardine muffler quality Post by Scottwerty on 05/16/07 at 13:58:09 I guess I'll just live with it. I just wished Jardine would have spent 2 cents more to make a better pipe |
Title: Re: Jardine muffler quality Post by Savage_Rob on 05/16/07 at 13:59:10 I wonder if you could stuff some fiberglass into it enough (even on the outside of one side of the baffle) that it would stop it without compromising flow. |
Title: Re: Jardine muffler quality Post by Scottwerty on 05/16/07 at 14:16:57 thought a simular idea rob but with rtv, but if its in the inside of the baffle I guess the rivets would have to come out just another task to get around to. |
