Title: Fork boots & fork brace? Post by barry68v10 on 05/01/07 at 17:02:19 Does anyone know if you can put fork boots on with a fork brace? How would a guy protect his forks with a superbrace? |
Title: Re: Fork boots & fork brace? Post by babbalou on 05/01/07 at 18:36:53 I got the brace long after I had installed the fork boots. The boots slipped over the fork seals & stayed put but with the fork brace they rested on top of the brace. Occasionally one side would stick to the fork & rise up so I cut off the bottom/verticle part of the boot & glued the flat part of the boot to the brace. Sort of a Jethro Bodine style solution but it worked. There are probably better methods but that's all I could come up with at the time. |
