Title: Cant Bleed Master Cylinder Post by dubbington on 04/28/07 at 13:41:10 Installed new piston and o-rings on my master cylinder. Filled up the reservoir with fluid and keep pushing in the piston and no fluid is coming out. It is not installed on the bike. That shouldnt make a difference. Fluid should be pissing out this think when I push it in. Thanks Rc |

If having it in that position doesn't make it happen for ya, a few light taps to get the air moved out might be in order. |
Title: Re: Cant Bleed Master Cylinder Post by verslagen1 on 04/28/07 at 21:18:07 It might be having a problem with an air bubble. Try sealing the banjo hole with a finger, then squeezing the lever and let any fluid excape from the banjo. reseal the banjo before letting up on the lever. hth ;D |
Title: Re: Cant Bleed Master Cylinder Post by justin_o_guy on 04/28/07 at 21:32:56 That makes sense. Maybe sticking the hose on it & aimint it straight up would keep the port loaded with fluid & allow the master cylinder to pump fluid properly? |
Title: Re: Cant Bleed Master Cylinder Post by slavy on 04/29/07 at 21:55:20 First thing to do is to bleed the master cyl. at the banjo bolt. This is the highest point in Your brake system and the air stays there. Once this is done- no problem . |
