Title: Re: Flat-sided my Savage .... Post by LANCER on 04/23/07 at 20:46:42 Wow, what a great deal on a super carb. Working out the proper jetting could be a real fun job. When I first started playing with the Edelbrock carbs a few years back it took a while to get down to the right needle for it, and fortunately it was just the needle since it does not have a main or pilot jet. I was very short of money and could only get one needle at a time, and would have to wait weeks before trying another one. |

Title: Re: Flat-sided my Savage .... Post by Greg_650 on 04/24/07 at 05:24:09 Yes, Mikuni for the BS40, does offer a 147.5 main. I put one in Stinger's a couple weeks ago... The clamp idea is unique. So you are using 3.5" coil springs on the seat? That's what I have, but mine got bound up and broke off the darned seat mounts...cheap Chinese welds, cheap Chinese metal.... |

Title: Re: Flat-sided my Savage .... Post by Greg_650 on 04/24/07 at 09:03:24 Too bad about the dual cable for the carb....but.... The throttle grip tube for the Savage for is made for dual cables. It has 2 cable connections, but since our bike only uses one, I imagine that if you find another Suzuki that uses the same grip tube, that you'll find a dual cable throttle assembly. |

Post by klx650sm2002 on 04/28/07 at 06:51:43 Like the the HSR V much, if things had been different I might of got one instead of FCR. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o147/klx650sm2002/FCRsideview.jpg Belmouth made by me. Accelerator pump on FCR is 0% through to 75% throttle. Clive W :D |
