Wow, what a great deal on a super carb.  Working out the proper jetting could be a real fun job.  When I first started playing with the Edelbrock carbs a few years back it took a while to get down to the right needle for it, and fortunately it was just the needle since it does not have a main or pilot jet.  I was very short of money and could only get one needle at a time, and would have to wait weeks before trying another one.

Yes, Mikuni for the BS40, does offer a 147.5 main.  I put one in Stinger's a couple weeks ago...

The clamp idea is unique.  So you are using 3.5" coil springs on the seat?  That's what I have, but mine got bound up and broke off the darned seat mounts...cheap Chinese welds, cheap Chinese metal....

Too bad about the dual cable for the carb....but....

The throttle grip tube for the Savage for is made for dual cables.  It has 2 cable connections, but since our bike only uses one, I imagine that if you find another Suzuki that uses the same grip tube, that you'll find a dual cable throttle assembly.

Like the the HSR V much, if things had been different I might of got one instead of FCR.

Belmouth made by me. Accelerator pump on FCR is 0% through to 75% throttle.
