Title: Extra Inches Post by TVR on 03/11/07 at 06:16:48 I didn't like my highway pegs mounted to the engine guard and spotted this on ebay. Much better riding position and turned out looking nice too! http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u193/TVR_LS650/Pegs.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u193/TVR_LS650/Pegs3.jpg http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u193/TVR_LS650/Pegs2.jpg |

Title: Re: Extra Inches Post by TVR on 03/12/07 at 06:05:02 No interference with the dunlop. With forks compressed and tire turned, I still have a 1/2 inch or so. Bought it off ebay. They said it was a HD part or at least came in a lot of HD parts. Linky (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=220077765571) |
Title: Re: Extra Inches Post by Bikemom28 on 03/12/07 at 09:33:38 Tvr those look nice on your bike. I wounder would it keep someone from burrning the inside of their leg when ridding. Where mine are mounted when I am riding I burn the inside of my left leg on the engin. :o |

My leg rides against the engine guard. My leg is still 3 or 4 inches from the header. And I was wrong John, its a CS Hi-Max tire. 100/90-19 |
Title: Re: Extra Inches Post by Fido_the_Cat on 03/12/07 at 21:55:58 do I see that as adjustable or is it stationary? Pic 2 seems to be more forward. I'll be watching for a set of those. Thanks. |
Title: Re: Extra Inches Post by Greg_650 on 03/13/07 at 08:06:03 Isn't it hell when shipping is more than the part? Sometimes, I think that the shipping costs include a minimum bid too :) I was like you. I didn't care for the pegs on the guard either. Anyway, did that bolt right up to the engine guard mount? Looks like a pretty good find. |

Yep. drilled two holes and bolted it up. The pegs fold in and the clearance between them and the guard was the perfect angle to insure clearance with the tire/fender. I was surprised I was the only bidder. |
Title: Re: Extra Inches Post by Greg_650 on 03/13/07 at 14:44:14 I look at the the title of this topic, and realize this is something that most of us have always wanted... Then I see your name and POOF.... |
