Very interesting.  Those white walls really set it off.  Nice seat too.

cool!

How long are you gonna make the struts?  also, are those stock size tires?

if'n that were my chop, I'd lose the refelctors on the downtube...

;D Thanks for the compliments! Front tire 100/90-19 rear 150/90-15 tight fit, but no rubs. Struts will be 9.0" center to center to bring rear fender lower around tire. Reflecter is gone now. Engine has pod filter, carb rejetted, valve job, minor porting, wrapped exhaust Jardine muffler. Now I need me one of those hi-performance bumpsticks. I also found out today that my '87 is considered an antique in Wild Wonderful WV, no inspection sticker and no turn signals required, although I will probably use mini bullets I have. This thing just keeps gettin' better! Have not named it yet, I am going for the retro rat rod look. Thanks again, the knowledge I gleened from this forum really helped me with this bike. UPS brought my 6" Z-bars today, I love that brown truck.

Well, I figured you were okay when I saw that bike. The sig line sealed it.

That seat does stroke. & yes, the whitewalls really are nice.
Who did the artwork? Have any idea what it weighs?

For some reason I thought it was Woody Woodpecker.

you got rid of the rectifier?  how did you do that?  does it eat batteries?

I see the rectifier on the fender, between tail light & seat.

I can't read... refelctor is not rectifier...   ::)

well, once he get's those struts on, he'll be able to stick it under the fender...

That is a great idea for the rectifier! Thanks again! It is Woody Woodpecker, he kinda reminded me of the woodpecker you used to see on the Thrush Muffler decals and this one has a cigar hanging in the corner of his mouth, I've been known to burn a Dominican or two in my day. I have not weighed the bike yet, I will let you know when I do. Thanks again for the input.

Yeah that would be the Clay Smith's mascot "Mr Horsepower" not exactly Woody.
I purchased several sizes of that one w/ the intention of covering the sissy looking factory stripe, but have not had the gumption (or time) to start sanding the clear off a perfectly good tank...yet.
