Title: matching grips, updated, updated photo
Post by sluggo on 12/17/06 at 15:10:58

here's my most recent mod.

matching pegs front rear and grips  total  $40.00
the passenger pegs also contain led's for turn signals.
they began life as "stunt rider" pegs for bicycles.
download photo and zoom in for closer view.

the seat is out for recovering, i found a 50 year old leather jacket and using that.

It gets a might blurry when you enlarge it. Do they have a led light in the center line of the peg??

yes, ok during daytime, great  at night.

they look great as a set. hand grips have rubber inserts to dampen vibration.

bicycle isle at wally world.  their called  mongoose stunt pegs. they come with some blue led's that screw on to valve stem.     i refuse to pay the high price of motorcycle parts.  the motif of thumper is used parts or parts made for something else.  tail light is off a 1950 international flat bed.

work bench?  thumper is surrounded by tools on the floor.  easier to reach that way.  contrast that with max, he's got a really orginized shop. tools all have a place and kept there.

So there seems to be a theme with those that tinker.

here's a blinker shot using flashers, you can see both the right and left side. left side right under tail light

it was tough getting a shot in the dark

samm, front was a piece of cake, just need to fab 4 little brackets one for each hole.

rear was a little more difficult, it took several attempts to come up with a suitable bracket,  i'll walk you through or make them for ya.

five points, it's an 81  but it was made between 80-84

you can also go to the bone yard and find one from several different machines.  i'm thinking of buying a few, fab the brackets and make them available. any takers?
