Easy question.
I am buying a 2002 Savage and I need to make sure the VIN matches the title. Where is the VIN located on the motorcycle? I would like to know before I get there so I don't look totally clueless. :-[

It is on a tag on the tube that the front forks pivot on. Many times it will have been worn in places as the wire bundle rotates around it. Max

The VIN is only good at the DMV.
The VIN info sites don't track motorcycles.
If you need to decode the VIN, this site is good.

Although this site or another had the year code incorrect, don't remember which one.
