Title: Introduction
Post by Hiker on 09/01/06 at 08:42:28

Hello  everyone,
I'm a new rider in Washington State.  I took the BRC in May and bought an 07 S40 August 11th.  Having a blast riding, spent a lot of time riding around my neighborhood.  I have a lot of information to read before I ask any questions.  I do know that I will not do anything (mods)  until the warrenty runs out.

Welcome to the forum Hiker. Enjoy your new ride and stay safe. Mods make a big difference in the way the S40/LS650 performs. I knew after I put 1000 miles on mine that it would benefit from a new exhaust and rejetting.

I'm over in Western Washington, outside of Olympia.  The O7 has drag bars.

Hello Hiker,
I too am in Western Washington, but on the south side--closer to Portland than Olympia.    I also took the BRC course in May, and found my '99 Savage a week and a half after my class.
I have since then put 2500 miles on her and loved every minute I can get riding.

Welcome Hiker,

I live on southern Vancouver Island about 100 miles north of you.  The Olympic Penninsula and the area around Ocean Shores has always been one of my favourite destinations.  Now that I have started riding again, I look forward to visiting on my Savage. :D
