Title: Float height adjustment? Post by cowboyupdjcarl on 08/30/06 at 06:05:17 Been skimming posts looking for the proper float height and cannot seem to find it? What is it? Where is it measured from? BTW anyone else have a problem with the float sticking OPEN! Mine is flooding out big time! Carrying a screwdriver today to tap and stop the sticking as it occurs! |

Float height adjustment: 1) Install the float and needle. 2) Put the carburator upside-down. 3) Measure the height of the float to the carb. body ( not the protuding ridge that makes the indent in the gasket) to 27,95 +/- 1,0 mm or 1.1" +/- 0.04". Sorry no scanner for a picture. Greetz Kropatchek 8) |
Title: Re: Float height adjustment? Post by MacAttack on 08/30/06 at 12:06:36 Worth a cleaning once a year - easy way to do it is: 1. Drain the float bowl (loosen the drain screw). then 2. pull the fuel hose off at the carb. 3. Shoot carb. cleaner down the hole. 4. Reconnect fuel hose. 5. start and run bike for a minute (or around the block). |
