am running a 140/90-15 on the rear. what effect does this have in speedometer/ miles per hour ?

You are going faster than the speedo says :o  :D

You're going 5 mph faster than the speedo says..... 63mph when speedo says 60.

My last post was messed up- supposedly the speedo is indicating 95% of your actual speed. I.E.... if it says you're doing 60, you're actually doing 63. I verified this with a GPS receiver on the handlebars, and it's true- at least on my bike. Which also is good news for all the gas-mileage freaks like me- You're going a bit further on a tank of gas than your odometer says! (Yay) I love the look the 140/90 gives the bike.
