Title: Timing cover Post by marty62253 on 07/19/06 at 09:38:01 I'm trying to check the valves for the first time since I got my Savage. I'm having a heck of a time getting the ignition timing cover off to set engine at TDC. What works on this oversized screw other than the Honda tool that Clymer talks about?? |

I believe Honda might still sell a tool designed for that purpose; as a matter of fact, I think the Clymer manual for the Savage used to recomend that tool? you probably will not even have to weld them together. |
